Whether you are looking for spectacular landscapes, geysers with super-heated water exploding into the sky or wildlife images, every day in Yellowstone promises to be rewarding. Yellowstone National Park extends into Wyoming, Montana and Idaho. It covers an area of more than 3400 square miles. The park is considered to encompass approximately 60% of the world’s geysers. The park is also home to a diverse array of wildlife that include badgers, ground squirrels, bison, grizzly bears, black bears, elk, wolves, coyotes, pronghorn antelope, bald eagles, bighorn sheep, moose, and red fox. There are also many spectacular vistas throughout the park.

Russ will guide you to some of these wonderful subjects, provide suggestions for compositions, demonstrate how to get the finest quality from your equipment, and do everything possible to make sure you go home with spectacular images. During the workshop we will have ample time for training sessions, picture processing and digital reviews. Participants will be asked to bring 5-6 digital images to the reviews. If you have a laptop, we will do the reviews on your computer, if not you will need to download the pictures to a disk or thumb drive. The goal is to make sure you are getting the best pictures possible as the week progresses. Review sessions will be done on a voluntary basis.

At the end of the week, we will all gather at the hotel for a display of everyone’s top ten pictures from the week.
